Two major exhibitions were held in the art gallery named after Professor Nikola Marinov, who was born in Bulgaria in Targovishte (Old Friday), known as an important master of watercolor painting in world art.
In the 1st hall of the exhibition, which also includes his own watercolor paintings by the students he trained as a professor at the Sofia National Academy of Arts, and in the 2nd hall of the gallery, the work accumulated from the international watercolor symposium held annually in the name of Nikola Marinov and biennially in recent years. A large international exhibition was held, which consisted of works selected from the gallery fund.
In addition to Bulgaria, the USA, France, Italy, England, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Turkey; 200 works were exhibited, consisting of works by artists from Belgium, Spain, Egypt, Syria, Portugal, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Serbia and many more.
As a Turkish artist, Prof. Dr. The works of İsmet Çavuşoğlu were also included in this exhibition. There are approximately 3,500 aquarelle works in the backdrop of the gallery and this gallery has the richest aquarel collection in the world. Artist İsmet Çavuşoğlu has a total of 13 works purchased at different times in this gallery. Exhibitions will remain open to the audience for 6 months. The exhibition spaces of the gallery are over 3 thousand square meters.
