The Graphic Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts held the "External Stakeholders Workshop of the Graphic Design Department" in the Senate room on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 13:00. Academia and industry representatives came together and shared their opinions and suggestions in order to evaluate and develop national and international criteria at undergraduate level in Graphic Design education in Turkey and to determine the gains in the current education system.
Kuş, Yıldır and Sezer, who participated in the workshop, expressed their views on the future of Graphic Design departments, application methods and the contents of the courses. The outputs of the workshop, which lasted about three hours, formed an important resource on the position and future of Graphic Design departments in Turkey.
Stakeholders, academia and industry representatives came together to discuss their ideas on the future of Graphic Design education and exchange information and experience on how the education outputs in the academy could meet the demands of the industry, shed light on how Graphic Design departments should be positioned in the past, present and future.
Participants from the sector expressing the problems they face; It is at an important point in terms of strengthening the communication between the sector and academia.
