Assoc. Dr. Nuri Sezer's 'Symmetrical Illustrations' Book Published

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Graphic Design Department Instructor Member Nuri Sezer's book "Symmetric Illustration", published by Istanbul Gelişim University Press, has been published.

"Graphic Design is an understanding of art that enables people to communicate with each other through visual, sensory and tactile means; while providing this, it finds the ability to move in the light of economy, sociology, psychology, anthropology and other sciences as well as art and culture. I would like to express my gratitude to my invaluable teachers who continue to continue and I wish God's mercy on my deceased teachers. I am also happy that the book is published by Istanbul Gelişim University Publications. Therefore, IGU Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdulkadir Gayretli and Rector Prof. Dr. Burhan Aykaç who contributed. I would like to commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who made us love art and made us come to these days, with the following words: "A nation without art means that one of the life veins of a nation has been severed."
Kind regards."

(From the Promotion Bulletin)
Dr. Instructor Member Sezer shared his views on art and illustration with the following sentences:
"The place of art in human life is very important."
Art is one of the most important phenomena that affects people all over the world and activates their senses of seeing, hearing and feeling. Everyone has music, a visual that everyone likes, and the emotions and effects they feel from them, they are the most important factors that distinguish humans from other living things. Unfortunately, our society's view of art is not very healthy, this view shows the lack of importance given to visuality. Is the desire to read, see, desensitize societies by leading the society to distracting elements, customs, traditions, customs, that is, removing the society from its culture is directly proportional to the wrong use of technology?

We call art the expression of an idea by adding emotion and creativity. Graphic is an understanding of art that enables people to communicate with each other or socially with visual, sensory and tactile instruments, and while providing this, it finds the ability to move in the light of artistic, cultural, economic, sociological, psychological and anthropological sciences.

Visual activation is the most active and memorable source of communication in living things. Illustration is a branch of Graphic Design, there is a cross-cultural connection in illustration. An illustration that carries the common values of cultures is very effective on the people with whom it communicates.
Using the concept of symmetry in the Illustrations I made, I tried to make different visual designs by cutting the works in half and taking their symmetry. Believe me, sometimes five or six different images came out of a work. We saw that different visuals were created by having my students apply it at school.
I draw the illustrations by hand, color them on the computer, and then open exhibitions with digital prints on various materials and present them to the imagination of the audience.
