Semra Çevik from Ankara University and Özlem Gürpınar from Ardahan University undertook the curatorship of the exhibition with the subtitle 'Myths in the Ancient and Modern World'. Jury members are artists living in Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Georgia and Ukraine. Among the topics covered in the symposium are fields such as Philosophy, Sociology and Political Science, Anthropology, Psychology, Literature, Art and Fine Arts.
Dr. Instructor Member Aysun Cançat, on the importance of preserving cultural heritage and the work she participated in the exhibition, said, “My work includes awareness about protecting our cultural heritage. History is not only remembering the past, but also the social, artistic, cultural, etc. of the geography we live in. It is a vital consciousness that enables us to learn its whole reality and meet these values. Protecting these values is a universal meeting at the point of protecting not only the society to which one belongs, but also the essence of world values, the history of humanity. In the work, a figure's face cut in the middle and his smile reveal an irony about these issues.
Dr. Instructor Member Aysun Cancat was born in 1977 in Istanbul. In 2006, he completed his undergraduate degree at Marmara University, Atatürk Education Faculty, Art Teaching Department. She worked as an art teacher at İSMEK (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Art and Vocational Training Courses) between 2006-2009. In 2010, he completed his master's degree at Istanbul Kultur University, Institute of Social Sciences, Art Management Department. He worked as a research assistant at Istanbul Kultur University Art Management Department between 2010-2011. In 2015, he completed his doctorate at Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty Painting Teaching Department. He became an Instructor in the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Çankırı Karatekin University in 2014-2015, and became a Doctor Lecturer in 2016. Since 2016, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Graphic Design Department of Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts. Cançat continues its academic activities besides solo and group exhibitions.
