Painter and art writer Hülya Küpçüoğlu in the catalog text; "The paintings that Ahmet Özel made in the 1990s bear the traces of a very interesting encounter. Years later, when I received the exhibition catalog titled "In/san", it was impossible not to notice the links of the exhibition with Göbeklitepe, which has been very popular in recent years. He created paintings not only on different civilizations but also on the universe, the cosmos, stars, mystery. When we look at the names of the paintings, they are called "Hidden Monument", "A Celestial Object", "Secrets", "Mystical Landscape". We now see and understand that Ahmet Özel has traveled to the center of Göbeklitepe with the interactions he received from the collective consciousness, as if he were living in real life as a shaman, the concept of shaman he emphasized throughout his artistic life..." gives.

Ahmet Özel, his paintings; depicts them as witnesses of his journey to his inner world. He says that he has been traveling to his inner world for a long time through concepts such as "Inner Voices" and "Inner Landscapes". Using titles such as "Inner Landscapes", "Inner Sounds", "Inner Sun" in his paintings, the artist feeds off his journey into the dark but waiting to be discovered corridors of our own world.

While pushing the viewer to question nature and the universe, the “Inner Cosmos” exhibition is in an important position in terms of activating the idea of traveling to the receiver's own world. Özel's color compositions and abstraction in form represent the inner journey and the experience of being on the road in the context of the concepts of "I" and "We". Ozel, who envisions his canvas as a playground, deals with the dynamism of nature and the universe in an organic way with his increasing figure and color variations, the textures he adds to the canvas surface and the layers he creates.
