 Scientific Research Project in the EU Framework Program, of which member Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan is the advisor, was approved for support!


Project proposal titled “IPSUS - Climate-smart food innovation using plant and seaweed proteins from upcycled sources- Climate-friendly innovative foods using plant and seaweed proteins obtained from recycled sources”, of which member asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan is the advisor EU Framework program scientific research project SUSFOOD2 -Eligible for support under FOSC 2021.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Deputy Dean, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department member asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, within the scope of the EU Framework program scientific research projects SUSFOOD2-FOSC 2021, consulted "IPSUS - Climate-smart food innovation using plant and seaweed proteins from upcycled sources- The project proposal titled "Foods" was found suitable to be supported.
 
 Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan said the following about the project:
 
“It was planned as a joint call by the Era-Net Cofund projects FOSC (Food Systems and Climate) and SUSFOOD2 (Sustainable Food Production and consumption) supported by the EU in 2020-2021 under the Horizon 2020 Programme. Finding solutions to climate change, system shocks, and limited natural resources to make future food systems more sustainable is the main objective of this call. The research project to be supported within the scope of the call was expected to project that uses resources efficiently in the creation of sustainable food systems, is resistant to climate effects, and offers innovative solutions. The projects to be supported were expected to be integrated with a multidisciplinary food system and to bring together different stakeholders. The research project submitted to this call deserved to be supported by successfully meeting all the criteria. In the project consortium, there are universities from England, Morocco, and Romania as well as Turkey. In addition, Kaanlar Gıda A.Ş. is involved in the project as an associate partner. The project will last for 3 years and its total budget is 1.5 million Euros.”
