Gastronomy And Culinary Arts

Private Eresin Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Students were guests of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department!

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Fine Arts Faculty (GSF), Gastronomy, and Culinary Arts Department lecturers introduced the department to the students of Private Eresin Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

While there is very little time left for the university entrance exams, high school students who will make a choice this year continue to visit our university and receive relevant and detailed information about the departments they are interested in. Private Eresin Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students visited Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Gastronomy, and Culinary Arts Department on Friday, April 1st. Students received detailed information about the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department's learning process, lesson plan, internship, and career opportunities, and double major, minor, and Erasmus programs at the meeting with the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department lecturers in the practice kitchen. On the other hand, students were given detailed information about the practice courses and their operation by visiting the practice kitchens of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.

First of all, the students got detailed information about the university and then they visited the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Cookery departments of the university. During the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department tour, the lecturers of the department accompanied the students. The faculty members of the department gave information to the students who include gastronomy in their career planning, and an important reminder was made:

“Gastronomy education is a learning process that should be given on-site by experts. Therefore, when making a choice, prospective students should decide by thoroughly researching the practice kitchens of the university they will study, the opportunities they offer to the students, and the teaching staff.”

After answering the curious questions, the tour came to an end.

We wish the students of Private Eresin Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School success in their education life and a beautiful future.
