Head of the Department of Cinema and Television at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Asst. Prof. Dr.  Önder Paker was invited as a jury member to the 19th Frankfurt Turkish Film Festival.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker attended the 19th Frankfurt Turkish Film Festival organized with the cooperation of Intercultural Cooperation Foundation, the Prime Ministry of Hessen and the Consulate General of Turkey in Frankfurt in the October 25 to November 1, 2019, and presented the ‘Best Turkish Short’ film award to Veysel Çelik for his film named Rain of Atonement in the festival.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker stated that the 19^th Frankfurt Turkish Film Fest is very important not only for the Turkish cinema, but also for the Europe and world cinema, and the festival was held for the 19^th time with a huge organization, therefore Turkey is now very proud” at the festival's awards ceremony where Festival Director, Consul General of Turkey in Frankfurt, Governor of Hessen, the Mayor and German parliamentarians attended.

Within the scope of the festival, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker's new film project was decided to be supported by the State of Hessen as a Turkish-German co-production in the directors’ meeting where he attended.
