Zerrin Funda Ürük, Head of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Participated in the Interview titled “The Future of Fine Arts Departments After the Pandemic” held by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Continuing Education Center (SEM)
The tenth of the interviews held by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Continuing Education Center (SEM) was held online on March 17, 2021, with the title of “The Future of Fine Arts Departments After the Pandemic”.
The event, moderated by Continuing Education Center (SEM) Manager Emel Tozlu Öztay, started at 13:30. After talking about the subject of the conversation held on behalf of the SEM center, the speech was made by GSF Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Thanksgiving was given to Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp. Aydınalp said, “People discovered their own creativity and talents during the stay at home. The interest and love of families and students in art increased. Culture, art and design emerged as a unifying effect because it provided spiritual motivation.” He pointed out that art and design have become more important than ever in social life and left the floor to the heads of the departments.
