• Branding
Providing insights into these topics, Manolya Mülayimsi shared ideas regarding the management and branding processes of various cultural centers using examples such as Centre Pompidou-Metz, Elbphilharmonie – Hamburg, Haydar Aliev Cultural Center, and Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center. Additionally, she conducted comparative analyses focusing on main entrances, foyers, performance venues, exhibition spaces, educational areas, workshops, administrative spaces, cafeterias, and technical areas of the mentioned cultural centers.
Mülayimsi also highlighted that flexibility, digital infrastructure, accessibility, health and safety, and sustainability have gained more prominence in cultural centers after the COVID era. She emphasized that all these elements directly impact branding.
Stating that institutions and organizations striving to stand out and differentiate themselves are developing new strategies, Mülayimsi underscored that branding involves managing and sustaining the process of how strategies related to a brand will be perceived and interacted with.
During the approximately one-and-a-half-hour talk, students and academicians directed their questions about cultural centers and branding to Manolya Mülayimsi. At the end of the event, Dr. Assistant Professor Parwin Heidari, Head of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, presented Mülayimsi with a plaque as a token of appreciation.
