Ezginaz Kara, a research assistant at the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Gelisim University, presented her master’s thesis as a conference paper on June 27, 2025, at the 7th SIAP International Symposium on Innovation in Architecture, Planning and Design.

Her paper, titled “The Impact of Biophilic Design Elements on User Experience: The Case of Maçka Park in Şişli District, Istanbul”, explored the contribution of natural elements to user experience in urban open spaces. In her study, Kara evaluated the psychological and environmental effects of biophilic design, emphasizing its role in shaping users’ spatial perception. The presentation highlighted the importance of nature-integrated design approaches in urban life. The findings pointed to the necessity of increasing the use of biophilic elements in environmental design practices.

We congratulate Research Assistant Ezginaz Kara on her successful presentation and wish her continued success in her academic endeavors
