Research Assistant Ezginaz Kara, a faculty member of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, delivered a presentation titled "The Impact of Sustainability in Interior Design" on May 17, 2024, between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM at the 2nd National Interior Architecture Critical Approaches Symposium held at Istanbul Haliç University. The session was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. F. Ceyda GÜNEY YÜKSEL.
The study aimed to present the adopted methods related to sustainable design criteria and evaluate the interior design applications associated with these methods. The research explored the relationship between sustainability and architectural design, explaining the principles and criteria of sustainable architecture through a literature review. Additionally, it analyzed three university building examples in Turkey that embody sustainable principles.
Following the presentation, the study was revised and published in full-text format on pages 169-179 in the 2nd National Interior Architecture Critical Approaches Symposium Book.
