We continue to receive the success news of our graduates! Interior Architect Kübra Piraye Ulusoy, a 2019 graduate of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, joined the team of Yapı Trend Magazine. From now on, our graduate Kübra Piraye Ulusoy's articles on interior architecture and design will also be published in the magazine.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, which has taken the whole world under its influence, the journal, whose printing process has not yet been completed, is planned to publish its new issue in a short time. Our graduate also gave an interview to "+ Interior Architecture and Design Magazine", which produces content on interior architecture, project, style and space. When we asked him about the process of being invited for this interview, how they reached him and why he was chosen, he said:
“After graduating, I opened an account on Instagram called “icmimar.kubrapiraye”. On this page, I sometimes share my favorite designs and sometimes my own designs and drawings. As the number of followers increased, I felt that I started to establish myself in the industry. An interview was published in the “+ Interior Architecture and Design Magazine”. One day, a message came to my Instagram inbox that they wanted to include my interview in the new issue of the magazine. Upon my approval, they sent the questions. The questions were generally about the current situation of interior architecture in Turkey and how it will take shape in the coming years. We also talked about how the paths followed by a newly graduated interior architect in his education life make a difference in the field. I answered the questions and sent them via e-mail, and I took a place in the magazine with my answers.”
“I can say that my faculty years at Istanbul Gelişim University were a turning point in my life”
Our graduate Kübra Piraye Ulusoy recently shared her experiences and thoughts about her education life at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department as a professional interior architect and designer:
“I can say that my faculty years at Istanbul Gelişim University were a turning point in my life. In this process, I would like to thank our esteemed professors, who taught us something about life as well as vocational education, who tried to support us constantly, and who sent us off from the faculty not only as interior designers but as confident, grounded individuals.
Studying Interior Architecture and Environmental Design is tiring, stressful, sometimes makes you cry and sometimes laugh. In an instant, your close friends become architectural books and drawing programs. It is essential that you study hard in your classes and add your night to your day. However, while you are doing all these, it is a great chance for your school to strive for your development. While I was a faculty, my department offered us the opportunity for international accreditation. As a result of the quality assurance audits, as of spring 2018, a total of 63 programs of Istanbul Gelişim University were examined in detail by international expert committees appointed by organizations such as AQAS, AHPGS, PEARSON, ABET and found suitable for accreditation. I think the university that deserves its name the most is Istanbul Gelişim University.”
We congratulate our graduate and wish him success in his professional life.
