Together with the Make-a-wish team, Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) participated in the "E-card Design Workshop" event, which is the last stage of the social responsibility project, which set out with the aim of realizing the wishes of children struggling with life-threatening diseases and thereby strengthening their feelings of hope, resilience and joy.
In the last stage of the project, the "E-Card Design Workshop" attended by approximately twenty students from Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), on December 7, 2022 at 14.00, in Istanbul Gelişim University J Block 251 classroom, realized with the contributions of Kerem Yüksekoğlu. During the workshop, which lasted about 3 hours, the students created various designs with the theme of "New Year". At the end of the workshop, ideas were exchanged by sharing their designs with each other. The e-cards designed as part of the workshop were shared with the Make-a-wish team and will be put up for sale online to fulfill the wishes of the children.
“We Used Design as a Tool to Realize Children's Wishes”
As a result of the event, which constituted the last stage of the project, which was undertaken by Res. Asst. Ayten Bengisu Cansever, Res. Asst. Eliz Mutlu, Res. Asst. Tuğçe Öztürk and Res.
Asst. Mustafa Dallı, approximately 20 E-card designs were revealed. Res. Asst. Eliz Mutlu expressed her views on the "E-card Design Workshop" event by saying, "We, as the Faculty of Fine Arts, were very happy to use design as a tool to realize the wishes of the children in the last stage of our social responsibility project and to support the Make a Wish association."
We Completed Our Social Responsibility Project with Make a Wish
With the completion of the "E-card Design Workshop" event, the Social Responsibility Project "We Make Children's Dreams Come True with a Wish" organized in cooperation with Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) and Make-a-wish has come to an end. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Make a Wish Association, with which we collaborated, for providing us with such an opportunity. We would like to thank the faculty members of the Faculty of Fine Arts and our students who supported our project for children throughout the whole process.
