 A Conversation on the “Out-of-Shape Design Contest” was Held with the Participation of Selçuk Demirci


For the students of the Department of Interior Architecture & Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, an interview was held with the participation of Selçuk Demirci for the "Out of the Box Design Competition".


For the students of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Interior Architecture & Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, on February 25, 2022, with the participation of Ege University Ege Vocational School Material and Material Processing Technologies Department Lecturer Selçuk Demirci. An interview was held for the “Out of the Box Design Competition”.
 
Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters' Association (EMKOUIB) within the body of Aegean Exporters' Association, Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and T.C. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, II. In the interview held on Google Meet for the Outstanding Design Competition, Zerrin Funda Ürük, Head of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, introduced Selçuk Demirci. Afterwards, students were informed about the details of the competition through the presentation prepared for the competition by Selçuk Demirci.
 
Organized with the theme of "Smart Furniture" this year, the II. The Game Breaker Design Contest, offering solutions to user problems and needs, facilitating the life and work of the user in line with his purpose, using the available space at the optimum level; It aims to design sustainable and high export potential smart furniture that meets at least one of the functions of “living, resting, working and storage”.
 
The student category of the competition is open to the students of the undergraduate departments of Architecture, Engineering, Art and Design, Fine Arts and Design Faculties, undergraduate or associate degree departments/programs related to design and/or furniture. Students can participate in the competition as a team. A team can consist of a maximum of 3 people. Each competitor to participate as a team in the student category must be continuing their undergraduate education. Candidates who will apply from the student category must be a student as of the date of application. There is no age limit for student category participation.
